ASU Athletics to Launch GoASU TV This Fall

August 27, 2007 - BOONE, N.C. — Appalachian State University athletics announced Monday that GoASU TV, an exclusive webstreaming package featuring live video streaming of Mountaineer football, basketball, volleyball and field hockey games and other exclusive content for subscribers, will launch this fall at GoASU.com.

The following events will be video-streamed live this fall and winter.

FOOTBALL — All home games except Nov. 17 vs. Chattanooga (SportSouth) and any televised NCAA Division I championship games.

MEN’S AND WOMEN’S BASKETBALL — All home games except those televised as part of the Southern Conference’s SportSouth agreement or ESPN BracketBusters.

VOLLEYBALL — Home matches versus The Citadel (Sept. 28), Wofford (Oct. 3), East Tennessee State (Oct. 17), Western Carolina (Oct. 19), Elon (Nov. 2) and Davidson (Nov. 9).

FIELD HOCKEY — Home matches versus Davidson (Sept. 23), Catawba (Oct. 10) and Longwood (Oct. 21).

Additional live events may be added for ASU’s spring sports seasons.

In addition to the live events, GoASU TV will serve as the online home of Appalachian Football Weekly and Mountaineer Basketball With Houston Fancher each week during the football and men’s basketball seasons, as well as special video features throughout the year.

Fans can purchase an all-access pass, which includes all the live games, coach’s shows and special events that GoASU TV has to offer throughout the 2007-08 year for just $59.95, while the cost to view a single game starts at just $3.95 and season packages cost $29.95.
