Mountaineer Women Have Strong Showing at Paul Short Run

September 29 - BETHLEHEM, PA.- Competing in one of the largest races in the nation, the Mountaineer women's cross country team had a solid finish on the 6k course at the Paul Short Run, taking home 29th place.

ASU junior Hannah Parks carried the Mountaineers with her 87th place finish. Teammate Jennifer Povick was on her heels placing 90th. Other finishers for Appalachian include, freshman Charlotte Walsh, senior Anna Baker, junior Ashley Norris, senior Kala Robertson and freshman Stephanie Payne.

The meet was rather challenging, as nationally ranked teams such as Wisconsin and Princeton, finished first and fourth overall.

The Apps' will carry on with their 2007 season, this Friday as they head to the Gardner-Webb Invitational, which will start at 5 p.m.
