HOLLYWOOD, S.C. - Appalachian State University women’s golf finished the third and final day of the Southern Conference Championship eighth among the nine teams. The tournament was being held at The Links at Stono Ferry.
Emily Cheves continued to lead the Mountaineers throughout the three days, placing her in 29th among the 44 participants. She finished the day 14-over-par, leaving her at 30-over-par for the tournament (75-85-86). Cheves finished 28 strokes behind the tournament leader Stefanie Kenoyer of Furman.
Brooke DeHart (82-83-82; t-30),
Mary Kate Bowman (86-85-80; 35),
Jordan Kreuter (81-89-88; 37), and
Kerri Dice (82-89-95; 39) closed out the scoring for the Mountaineers in the Southern Conference Championship.
The Mountaineers finished the day 48-over-par. ASU rounded out the three days 134-over-par, placing them eighth in the tournament, 97 strokes behind the tournament champion Furman.
